THANKSGIVING: The Musical

Central Baptist Church will present Thanksgiving: The Musical, their first-ever, all-original Thanksgiving drama on November 19 & 20. All seating for this presentation is free. Worship Pastor Darren Hughes comments, “Christmas is an amazing time of year as we look forward to celebrating the entrance of God in the flesh into the world. We have traditionally gone all out with a big drama and music production. Because there are a lot of Christmas events in the community and in our region, we wanted to draw more attention to Thanksgiving this year. So we wrote a Thanksgiving Musical. As usual, our choir and drama team will be part of this event, but this will be the first for us where the cast sings, making it a true musical. We’re very excited to share these songs written by writers in our church family!” Thanksgiving isn’t just about the turkey and mashed potatoes, it’s about family. But there’s nothing like the holidays to bring out the dysfunction in our family functions. Are we really one big happy family? CBC’s choir and drama teams aim to serve up a main course of old-fashioned nostalgia and gratitude (with a side of lighthearted humor). Before you rush into Christmas, experience Thanksgiving, the Musical! Saturday, November 19th at 6pm or Sunday, November 20th at 10am.
