To help address these issues the Dunn Chamber has developed the Economic Development: City Visits. These visits will allow the Dunn Chamber\, along with our vision partners the City of Dunn to go into communities we identified as growing and thriving in a way we would like to see Dunn do as well. Working in conjunction with the respective Chamber of Commerce\, Economic Development\, and Downtown organizations\, we will have the opportunity to hear case studies\, best practices\, and challenges faced in their revitalization and growth efforts. Ideas and processes we hope to learn from and to help overcome obstacles in our growth efforts.\n\n\n\nThe first DACC Economic Development: City Visit is scheduled for Sanford\, NC on Friday\, June 17\, with the visit taking place from 11 am. to 4 p.m. The day will begin with a formal welcome at the Sanford Area Growth Alliance/Chamber of Commerce to hear about the transformation Sanford has undergone and the successes and challenges it faced during its revitalization. The visit will continue with lunch\, and tours of downtown\, and commercial areas.\n\n \n\nTransportation will not be provided\, however\, the Chamber will be coordinating options for carpooling for those interested. \n\n 11 a.m. Arrive in Sanford for an overview of Sanford partners (approx. 1 hour)\n 12 p.m. Depart for lunch and downtown tour. Visit businesses that have succeeded\, view public art installations\, and tour The Temple Theatre.
