Dunn\, NC &ndash\; October 2025 \;&ndash\; The Dunn community will soon celebrate the return of one of its own\, as native son \;Bill McNair \;proudly announces the release of his inspiring new memoir\, \;Power Forward: From Redbone to the World Stage &ndash\; The Story of How Basketball Changed My Life. The book officially launches on \;October 3\, 2025\, and McNair will host a special \;book signing event at Broad Street Deli &\; Market in Dunn on November 15\, 2025\, from 11:00 AM &ndash\; 1:00 PM.
\n\nMcNair&rsquo\;s story is deeply connected to Dunn\, where his journey began on neighborhood courts and in the close-knit community that shaped his values of faith\, family\, and perseverance. His experiences in Dunn provided the foundation for his success as a standout athlete at Georgia Southern University\, a member of the world-champion 3-on-3 Team Atlanta\, and later\, as a respected parks and recreation professional and longtime basketball official across Georgia and the Southeast.
\n\n&ldquo\;Dunn will always be home for me\,&rdquo\; McNair said. &ldquo\;No matter where life has taken me\, the lessons I learned here\, the people who encouraged me\, and the pride of calling Dunn my hometown have carried me forward. I am honored to return to share my story with the very community that gave me my start.&rdquo\;
