Description
To emphasize the importance of leading healthy lifestyles, the Campbell University Student Osteopathic Medical Association and the Lillington Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to host a Lunch and Learn Session. The event is being held in conjunction with National Osteopathic Medicine Week. During the event, the student doctors will talk osteopathic medicine, what makes an osteopathic physician different from other physicians and about the importance of preventive medicine. Listening to the patient and being a partner in the patient’s care are at the heart of the osteopathic physician’s holistic, empathic approach to medicine. They are trained to promote the body’s natural tendency toward health and self-healing. They practice according to the latest science and use the latest technology but also consider options to complement pharmaceuticals and surgery.
